Kirit Goyal is the founder of Gazelle Information Technologies. His experience in ERP with specific interest in supply chain optimization, in countries like Australia, Singapore, Canada, where GST is already implemented gave him a good background of how taxation affects supply chain design. In India, he helped an American tyre company redesign their supply chain with the impending GST in 2010. Subsequently he worked with other large auto ancillaries in this field. This knowledge, coupled with changes to be made in IT systems when GST is implemented, has been captured in the two chapters written by him in the book. He teamed up with Mr. Arvind Kumar in 2014, and this book is an effort of an years discussions and deliberations.
Mr Arvind Kumar is presently serving Govt of India as Deputy Secretary posted in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, where he is in the BOD of many Public Sector Enterprises like HPC, NEPA paper Mills, Hindustan Salts etc. Shri Arvin Kumar did his Graduation in Economics from Delhi University, and has Masters Degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics. Thereafter he completed his MBA (Marketing) from Sydenham College, Mumbai and also completed hi LLB from Law Faculty , Delhi University. Finally, he is into final stage of completing his Ph. D from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT, Delhi). His topic of research is GST and its Impact of Trade logistics.. On his work front, before qualifying the IAS (Allied) Services in 1997 he briefly worked with Mumbai Customs. Later he worked in DGFT, Ministry of Commerce. He is therefore fully conversant with Foreign Trade Policy as well his practical implementation at Customs department. He worked as Under Secretary in Ministry of Finance from 2006-2012. He initiated the first file on GST in MOF which led to announcement of rollout of GST in India. From thereon, in next six years he has dealt with GST on all its aspects and is fully aware of the intent and the objectives of almost every aspects of GST. Hence in him we have a real treasure of different parameters of GST. He will be a great help to Industry as well as Policy makers in case of any ambiguities on GST
